Break the total into staged payments — for example 30% deposit, 40% at rough-in, 30% on completion. The stages must add up to 100% and become the payment schedule on the job.

Invoicing is consolidated: each job has a single running invoice that pulls in every line item and deposit stage, so a customer never gets a pile of separate bills. It shows the total, the amount already paid and the balance still owing. All invoices live on the Invoices page, filtered by status.

Quotes and invoices download or email as a PDF carrying your logo, company address, phone and tax number, plus the customer's name, address and contact details. Set those once under Settings and every document picks them up.

Record a cash or cheque payment by hand, or connect online payments so customers can pay by card from the client portal. Field-service teammates never see quote or invoice totals — financial figures are hidden by role.
